GfG's fixed gas detection systems are available as easy to operate single point units or as larger systems with several hundred transmitters. These multiple point systems consist of controllers and transmitters that communicate with each other. The transmitter changes the measured gas concentration to an electrical signal which is transfered to the controller. The controller shows the gas concentration in a display and immediately activates alarming devices in case of a gas leak. Advanced features such as data logging or online data transmission allow the user to easily monitor ambient changes in the environment. The Stand Alone unit is a combination of both transmitter and controller.

GfG controllers are designed to operate any transmitter offering either a 0,2-1 mA or a 4-20 mA signal. The controller processes the electrical signal received from the transmitter. It evaluates and displays the measured gas concentration. All controllers offer three on board relays that will be activated if the gas concentration exceeds the alarm level. All controllers are available as 1 or 4 channel controller. This means that either one or up to 4 transmitters detecting the same gas in the same range can be connected to one controller.

The transmitter's sensor is the "sense of smell" of a fixed gas detection system. The sensor is located in a metal sensor enclosure which is attached to the transmitter and converts the gas concentration into an electric signal. Electronics inside the transmitter changes this electrical signal for interference free transfer to the controller. The transmitter and the controller can be installed several 100 meters apart from each other.

Stand Alone units are designed for applications where only one fixed point of detection is needed. The Stand Alone unit is a combination of both transmitter and controller. The attached sensor detects the gas and converts the concentration into an electric signal which is processed inside the unit by means of electronics. The Stand Alone unit is equiped with relays to activate external alarm devices.

The one channel gas warning system GMA41 and the 4-channel device GMA44 form, together with the efficient and robust transmitters of GfG, safe and reliable gas warning systems. The flexibility of the GMA's to adapt to different measuring tasks ensures individual and cost effective solutions. More than 100 gases can be safely measured and monitored.

Where combustible gases may build up explosive concentrations, GfG offers a wide variety of sensors and transmitters.

Toxic gases

Specially selected GfG transmitters provide reliable monitoring of areas, where toxic gases and vapours may be present.

Oxygen

The GfG transmitters avoid hazards caused by oxygen deficiency or surplus.

Single or multi-channel controller

The GMA41 is a single channel system. A transmitter, in conjunction with a GMA41 forms an independent gas warning system.

The GMA44 is a cost effective and space saving controller for many detection points. Up to 4 transmitters, of the same kind, can be operated simultaneously from one GMA44.
