AGM
500 Series
Multi-Gas Monitor with AutoCal®
Manufactured by GfG |
|
The AGM is a versatile 2-to-4 gas monitor
that comes standard with 02 and combustible sensors. The unit can be
configured to best match your gas detection needs by adding up to two
additional toxic sensors that include: CO, H2S, DualTox (CO/H2S), Cl2, NO2
and SO2. |
|
Calibration and Maintenance
The AutoCal calibration is true "hands-free" calibration with built-in error
protection. The AGM will make all adjustments and inform the user when the
calibration is complete. The date and time of the successful calibration
will be stored in the memory of the AGM and will be displayed during
subsequent turn-on sequences. Error protection will display a warning
message and prohibit the calibration of the sensor if incorrect calibration
gas is used or if a sensor is defective. The removable sensor cover allows
easy access to sensors for simple replacement. |
PTO Connector and Accessories
The PTO connecor allows power connections for a MINIPump, HILITE, remote
readout accessories and communication for PC interface. The attachable
MINIPump allows samples to be drawn from remote locations. A hydrophobic
filter prevents liquid from entering the pump and a low flow alarm and
display will warn the user of sample line blockage. The HILITE alarm is used
for high noise environments. This high decibel alarm will sound and display
bright "strobe-like" lights when alarm conditions exist. The Remote Readouts
(RA-100 and RA-101) consist of a rugged case which will display readings
that duplicate those of the AGM up to a distance of 50 feet. When alam
levels exist, the RA will display them and sound a 100db horn. All AGM
models are data-logging ready. Once the unit is connected to a computer the
information may be downlaoaded to display date, time of samples and the
level of each gas. This data can be recalled from the PC by operator, date
or instrument serial number.

G850 Broad Band Sensor
New standards in personnel safety
Manufactured
by GfG |
|
The G 650 sets new standards in
personnel safety. Its advanced concepts make him a truly
superior confined space instrument. The G 650 combines features
you have not dared to dream of. The detector combines the
sensibility of a leak detector with the functionality and
flexibility of a multi-gas monitor. Whatever combination of
gases you need to monitor, the G 650 will reliably take over the
measurement task. By its interchangeable cartridges the change
of the measurement task becomes simpler than ever. |
|
Increased safety for confined
spaces
With its two gas supply modes (diffusion and internal pump) the
G 650 is the ideal warning instrument even before entering
confined spaces. Confined spaces can be safely monitored before
entering by means of the built-in pump. If the pump is switched
on (by sliding up the cartridge grill), the diffusion outlet
automatically shuts down to avoid a distortion of the
measurement results due to wind. A loud acoustic alarm (99dB)
and a 360º visible flashing alarm light (5 LEDs) immediately
indicate a gas hazard. For extremely noisy environments the G
650 can also be equipped with an optional vibrating alarm. |
|
Remote monitoring
The new G 650 allows two detectors to be connected together such
that the two can communicate with each other. Thereby the
receiving detector continuously monitors the transmitting
detector. The connection to a second detector allows for safe
entry into unknown environments. A second person controls the
monitored values through a second detector that is connected by
means of a cable. Instead of a second detector you can also
connect an external display with extra loud alarm module to make
sure that the alarm is not overheard in ultra noisy environments
or large areas. This allows a worker to be permanently monitored
when entering a confined space. Moreover messages can be sent
and received to allow communication between attendant and
entrant. |
|
Easy operation
Despite its groundbreaking features the G 650 is very
user-friendly and simple to operate: 3 buttons are all you need
for operation of the detector. The pump is easily activated by
sliding the grill upwards. This immediately shuts down the
diffusion outlet without the need for further handling. |
|
Protection from hundreds of
gases
Up to 6 gases can simultaneously be monitored - oxygen,
combustible gases and vapors (in %LEL/Vol.%), up to 3 toxic
gases plus you can equip it with the ToxAlert sensor. And all
this with one single instrument. Due to the dual-tox sensor for
CO and H2S, which continuously monitors both gases with one
sensor and accurately displays the measurement values 6 gases
are measured even though only 5 sensors are used. |
|
Protection from the unknown
Electrochemical sensors are standard in virtually all portable
confined space monitors because they can identify specific known
gases. However, in many environments such as sewers or storage
vessels, unknown gases may be present. For protection in these
cases, a broad range sensor is essential. The groundbreaking
broadband sensor ensures you additional superior protection from
hundreds of unknown toxic gases. The combustible sensors in
conventional gas monitors will detect most gases or vapors. In
many instances, the gas or vapor is more toxic to human health
before it reaches combustible levels. Some extremely dangerous
gases are not combustible and would therefore never be detected. |
|
Flexibility above all
The G 650 is extremely flexible in its measurement tasks.
Through its smart sensor technology the sensors can easily be
replaced. The G 650 recognizes the sensor type, measuring gas,
detection range, calibration curve, as well as alarm threshold
values. |
|
Advanced features
The large display with huge readings allows for easy reading of
the measurement values even in dimly lit conditions. By a single
push of a button the display, affixed on top of the detector,
can be turned by 180º to make sure that you can easily view the
readings no matter which side you are looking at the detector.
When changing the sensors or replacing the battery pack, the
detector is immediately operational again. The battery pack can
be easily removed from the detector and connected to the
charging unit which only needs 4 hours to recharge it. Thereby
down times and maintenance times are minimized. The metal
hydride battery pack shows no memory effect and ensures a long
lifetime. |
|
Robust design for harsh
environments
The rugged and small detector weights only 600 grams (21 oz) and
is dust and splash-water proof designed in protection class IP
64. It is designed for extremely tough operations under the most
difficult conditions. An additional rubber boot assures that the
G 650 is extremely resistant against damages from falling. |
|
Data Logger
The data logger saves low and high peak values, which can be
displayed later by means of a serial digital interface on a PC. |
|
Affordable
The G 650 is aggressively priced and replaces not only common
multi-gas detectors but also additional leak detectors. |

CGM II 900
Series
Multi-gas Monitor with ToxAlert(tm)
Manufactured by GfG |
|
ToxAlert Electrochemical sensors are standard in virtually all portable
confined space monitors because they can identify specific known gases.
However, in many environments such as sewers or storage vessels, unknown
gases may be present. |
|
For protection in these cases, a broad range
sensor is essential. The ToxAlert sensor literally protects you from
hundreds of toxic gases. Today's CGM remains the only instrument to
successfully combine the unique characteristics and benefits of both
electrochemical and broadrange MOS sensors.
The New Standard in Safety.
The CGM combines smart sensor technology with advanced electronics for a
truly superior confined space instrument. The groundbreaking ToxAlert sensor
ensures you superior protection from hundreds of unknown toxic gases, and
the AutoCal feature simplifies and reduces the time required for
calibration. With these key features and a power take off (PTO) port for
data logging, an optional mini-pump, remote alarms and other useful
accessories, the CGM provides you the protection and convenience you need.
A Misconception
It is true that the combustible sensor in conventional gas monitors will
also detect most of the gases or vapors listed below. But the concentration
levels at which these gases are combustible is usually far in excess to the
level at which they pose a threat to health. Some extremely dangerous gases
such as trichloroethylene are not combustible and would therefore never be
detected.
The CGM's broad range ToxAlert protects you from hundreds!
Conventional toxic gas detectors can protect you from only two or three
gases.

What does OSHA think about broadrange sensors?
"Where the employer has already identified (atmospheric) hazards,
substance-specific sensors are preferable, because they accurately indicate
the concentrations of identified air contaminants. By contrast, where the
employer has not been able to identify the specific atmospheric hazards
present or potentially present in a sewer, broadrange sensors are preferable
because they indicate that the hazardous threshold of a class (or classes)
of contaminants (i.e. hydrocarbons) in the sewer have been exceeded." -1993
