Minimax X4
Gas Detector
Manufactured by Honewell |
|
Minimax X4 is an unsurpassed portable gas detector for protection
against flammable, oxygen, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide gas
hazards. Its ideal for use by companies wanting advanced performance,
reliablity and ease of use, without the high costs of long term maintenance.
|
|
Minimax X4 focuses on ease of use by offering only the functionality
required to comply with legislation. Everything that a user routinely has
to achieve can be done in a single button press! Keeping it simple reduces
training requirements and enables use in a wider range of industries. Ease
of use doesn’t mean basic functionality. For example, every instrument has
the capability to log data using a simple to fit memory card (the type you
get in a digital camera). Events, gas data and calibration history are all
stored and the free software downloaded from our web site enables you to
graph or print reports at the press of a button.
Convenience and the way users want to work is an important
consideration. When clipped to the belt or harness, users may want the
re-assurance of being able to view the display from different positions.
But with many other units the display is upside down forcing the user to
remove the unit to look at the display, perhaps creating a hazard. Minimax
X4 users can ´flip´ the display at the press of a button for that added
convenience and safety.
With an ultra clear backlit display, vibrating and powerful audiovisual
alarms, the Minimax X4 demands attention when gas hazards are detected in
even the most adverse working conditions. All in all, Minimax X4 offers
reliable, easy to use gas detection to keep you safe. |

Enforcer
Calibration accessory
Manufactured by Honewell |
|
Regulations require regular testing of gas monitoring equipment to
ensure that the instrument will work as and when required. The Enforcer
Calibration Accessory allows you to easily comply with regulations when
using an Impact multigas monitor, without the need for costly test
facilities or third parties. |
|
‘Bump’ testing should be carried out before use of any portable gas
detector. This involves exposing each gas sensor to a known concentration
of target gas and ensuring that it responds correctly. If not, the unit
must be re-calibrated or serviced to replace those parts not working.
Personal gas monitors are normally calibrated every 3 to 6 months.
Typically this requires specialist knowledge and equipment that is costly,
or the work is sub-contracted to a third party. During this time,
instruments are not available for use and so could delay essential
operations or force additional monitors to be purchased.
The Enforcer calibrates Impact multigas monitors fitted with oxygen,
flammable, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide sensors in less than two
minutes. Volumes and flow rates are minimized to allow approximately 200
calibrations per cylinder of gas, making calibration as low in cost as a
‘Bump’ test. Impact instruments, when used with The Enforcer, are always
available for use. Calibration results are recorded for printing at a later
date via the optional PC software, thereby ensuring that instrument
histories are always available if required. |

Safelink
Confined Space Communication
Manufactured by Honewell |
|
Safelink allows two Impact Pro portable multigas monitors to be
connected together such that the gas readings and instrument status from one
are repeated on the other. This allows a co-worker in a confined space to
be monitored remotely as well as providing a simple means to pass messages
back and forth. |
|
Safelink is designed to simplify compliance with confined space entry
regulations and working practices. Generally, two people are required to
carry out confined space entry procedures correctly. One, the Attendant,
must continuously monitor the status of the other Entrant and initiate
rescue procedures if necessary. When the Safelink cable is attached to the
two Impact Pro instruments the link is automatically recognized. One
instrument is configured as the Attendant and the other is automatically
designated as the Entrant; neither instrument can now be turned off.
The Attendant is prompted at regular timed intervals to send a message to
the Entrant who has to reply by pressing any button on the instrument. If
no reply is received both instruments raise alarms. Other pre-defined
messages may be configured using the optional PC software allowing a
flexible method of communication to be established. |
|
Features: Ensures Good Working Practice
- Continuous monitoring of Entrant
- Simple and reliable means of communication
- Prompts users to maintain contact
- Ensures compliance with regulations
Minimizes Risk
- Attendant always aware of Entrant status
- Help can be made more quickly available
- 'Rescuer' is aware of conditions prior to entry
Easy to Use
- Plug and play configuration

MicroMAX Pro
Multi-Gas Monitor
Manufactured by Honewell |
|
The MicroMAX PRO is the best microprocessor controlled multi-gas
monitor on the market today. Its the only monitor that has it all - easy to
use, reliable, highest quality, economical, lightweight, shortest response
time, built-in data logging, lifetime warranty - and now includes our newest
innovation Voice Assist! Its another monitoring feature to safeguard lives
while aiding in normal operation. |
|
Since worker safety is our business, Lumidor continually strives to improve
its gas detector product line, and has done so with the addition of the
voice message feature. Four languages (English, French, German and Spanish)
are included with each monitor - just select the desired language. Every
function, when activated, is accompanied with a voice message. Everything
from immediate warnings to simple on and off functions are communicated
verbally to the user. This feature is also very valuable in poorly lit
situations. The language displayed on the new 4-line display is the same as
the one selected for the voice. The MicroMAX Pro is designed to provide
the ultimate in personal safety. Its OSHA compliant, and has a rugged case
that provides superior RFI / EMI shielding, as well as dust, water and
impact resistance. Additionally, it is designed, tested and manufactured
under strict ISO 9001 standards, and is UL classified for use in Class I,
II, III Division I, Groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G.
Now the MicroMAX PRO combines diffusion and built-in internal sampling
pump systems for simultaneously monitoring 1 to 5 gases. The popular
internal pump allows for easy pre-testing in confined spaces and provides
almost instantaneous readings of gas concentrations. In order to save power,
the pump can be switched off and the diffusion mode will take over.
MicroMAX PRO has preset and field selectable alarms. Both audible and
visual alarms warn the user if the oxygen levels are either too low or
enriched, combustible gas is present or toxic gas levels are too high. The
toxic gas alarms can be easily adjusted in the field from immediate to TWA.
Alarms are also activated in case of sensor failure, low battery voltage,
pump blockage or low air flow.
Our unique microprocessor design allows for self diagnostics with each
start up. The MicroMAX PRO internally data logs individual channel alarms,
TWA averaging and peak information. With a push of the "Mode" button, review
information, as well as customize user settings or initiate calibration.
This information is available for display and OSHA documentation for
employee awareness programs by downloading to a standard Windows-compatible
PC with Lumidor´s MPRO-DATALOG software.
Calibration is easier than ever before - its all automatic - no tools,
screws or stopwatch required. Simply place in calibration "Mode", introduce
calibration gas and wait for voice / display indicating calibration is
complete! A NiMH rechargeable battery pack and 4-hour charger are now
included with each monitor. However the flexibility of operating the monitor
with alkaline batteries is still retained. |
