RESPIRATOR PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

Sonic Safety Services, Inc. provides customized efficient, cost effective, on-site Respirator Program Management. Our professional staff can be on-site daily, weekly, or monthly. What ever you need to manage, augment or improve your program cost effectively.

Program Management
A member of our staff is assigned to the client's facility at agreed upon times to manage the program and perform whichever of the following tasks are contracted. The amount of time spent on-site is based on the number of employees using respirators and the services required. The management program can include any or all of the following.

• Program Oversight
  Sonic Safety would be responsible for the overall respirator program. This would require a minimum number hours or days per week or month, depending on the size of the program and could include all of the following.

• Respirator Selection
  Sonic Safety will review MSDS file, work site and recommend air sampling, where
  necessary, to identify exposure levels. Air monitoring would be done by the client or an outside laboratory contracted by the client. This may not be required if the client has an existing respirator program. If air sampling has not been done for many years, it may be prudent to verify that conditions have not changed.
• Respirator Training
  All employees using respirators will be trained by Sonic Safety Services staff in the proper donning, use, cleaning and maintenance of the respirator they are assigned. When negative pressure air purifying respirators are used, they will be instructed how and when to change the filters and/or cartridges.
• Respirator Medical Clearance
  Sonic Safety has the trained staff to medically clear your employees for respirator use. We have NIOSH Certified Occupational Pulmonary Technologists (COPT), Certified Occupational Health Nurses (COHN), and Physicians available to provide all or part of the clearance physical.
• Respirator Fit Testing
  Sonic Safety will Quantitatively Fit Test all employees required to wear a respirator. Quantitative Fit Testing (QNTF) is the most accurate and reliable type of respirator fit testing. All NIOSH approved respirators (INCLUDING paper disposable respirators) can be Quantitatively Fit Tested.
• Respirator Maintenance
  Sonic Safety has experienced staff to clean and repair all types and brands of respirators. Our staff is factory trained for many brands. Sonic Safety Services, Inc. does not repair SCBA respirators.
