NOISE / SOUND SURVEYS

Sonic Safety Services provides Noise Surveys to help clients comply with the OSHA Noise Standard, CFR 29 Part 1910.95. We use Sound Level Meters (slm), Octave Band Filters, and Noise Dosimeters to provide a comprehensive assessment of the clients facility and employee exposure.

The following is the typical progression of testing to determine the clients employee exposure. Please contact us with any questions you may have:

Test Sequence

• Survey the facility with a Type II Sound Level Meter, reading on the "a" scale with a slow response speed, to determine if the action level has been reached.

• If the action level has been reached, determine the employee percent exposure with a Noise Dosimeter.

• Do an Octave Band analysis of those areas to determine the sound frequency and db level. This will help to determine the type of Personal Protective Equipment needed and the type of materials needed for abatement.
